December 11th, 2011-December 17, 2011
How big is baby? This week, he is the size of a papaya! He is about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces. As a side note, I have never even seen a papaya in real life, let alone tasted one. Maybe I will hunt one down this week.
How I’m feeling? Fabulous because now I’m finished with this semester which means no school until August 2012!! This is going to be like an extended vacation! And while I don’t necessarily get to relax everyday all day long, I will finally get to focus on the things I want to focus on – Christmas shopping, Christmas decorating, Christmas baking… just Christmas in general! And after Christmas, then it’s on to focusing on the nursery (finally picking a crib maybe?), tweaking our registries and creating shower guest lists!
My energy is pretty much the same – pretty good throughout the day, and significantly wanes around 10pm. Unfortunately, pregnancy insomnia is in full force and I am having a terrible time falling asleep despite the fact that I’m tired.
Any cravings, weird dreams or other symptoms? Itchy skin! My belly is itching like crazy. I’ve purchased a couple different lotions/oils to combat the itchiness and, hopefully, any stretch marks (I have none… yet!). The ones I’m using are:
Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream, from L’Occitane
Almond Supple Skin Oil, from L’Occitane
No thoughts on them yet – I’ll review later when I’ve used them more. Until then, I think the cocoa butter is my favorite because it smells a little like chocolate, haha! I wish I would have gotten the formula specifically for stretch marks but I didn’t know that existed until recently. Oh well.
I’m back to craving Dr. Pepper again, as well as Vanilla Coke. I also periodically crave braunschweiger, which is a fancy name for… liver. I guess I need to be watching my iron intake.
Any other details? Not too much is going on! This week I plan on doing my major Christmas shopping purchases – hopefully all online. Next week I will head out to the malls with my sister for our annual Christmas shopping excursion. This year, though, I shouldn’t need to buy too much at the mall.
I just have to say I am so thankful I decided to take advantage of the Scentsy consultant opportunity, because if I hadn’t we likely wouldn’t have been able to afford Christmas presents this year. Scentsy alone is funding our Christmas budget and it’s a major relief!
