In case you missed the update about this pregnancy being considered high risk, you can read it here – What I haven’t said about my pregnancy. I’m going back to where I left off and doing bump progress shots, with more information about what we’ve learned along the way about our baby girl and her medical issue. All of these leading up to 33 weeks are written in past tense, just from what I remember was going on. I want a record for myself, for my little girl and to help anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation.
February 6th – 13th
How big is baby? Baby is as big as a head of lettuce, and is 13.6-14.8″ long and 1.5-2.5 pounds. I have a feeling those measurement estimates will stick around for awhile and The Bump is just going to pick various vegetables that are very round, haha.
How I’m feeling? Life started returning to normal around this point, because in the meantime all of my OB appointments were typical (once a month at that point) and I wasn’t going to the hospital for any additional testing. I had had my last ultrasound at the end of January, so we weren’t due for a growth scan until later in February.
So, for this week, we decided to start kicking things into gear for Ezra’s room. He had said he wanted a blue room, so I took him to Home Depot and he picked out a really beautiful shade of navy. We also went up to IKEA to see what sort of beds they had. We ended up finding and buying a bed – the Nyvoll (I think?) – because it was on sale (woo hoo!). It’s a full size, which we weren’t anticipating doing, but it works.
He looks so tiny!
Any cravings or weird dreams? Knowing that we were heading up to IKEA, I started craving their Swedish meatballs with the lingonberry sauce (or whatever berry it is). But when I had it, it made me sick! Ultimate cruelty.
Any other details? Since Valentine’s Day was that weekend, we were making plans on how to spend it. Ezra asked my mom out on a date, which was so cute I felt like I was going to fall over. Toddlers.are.too.much!!
